Carolina Wood Stairs was launched in 1981, and is currently owned and operated as Carolina Stairs Inc. and Carolina Stairs of Florida Inc., by Charles M. Johnson. Carolina Stairs has been successfully serving the housing market for 25 years, and the company specializes in pre-fabricated stairs for multi-family housing. They offer a wide selection of interior and exterior stair and railing systems. Products are placed in apartments, condominiums, town houses, and independent living facilities across the country.

About the Owner

Charles Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in construction management from Clemson University. Before purchasing Carolina Wood Stairs in 1996, Charles worked as a construction estimator and project manager for J. A. Jones Construction and R. J. Fisher Construction.

Qualifications

Carolina Stairs is a member of the North Carolina Manufactured Housing Institute, the National Homebuilders Association, and the Small Business Institute.

Carolina Stairs engineers are members of the National Society of Professional Engineers. Carolina Stairs’ products are engineer sealed in 38 states.
